One summer evening my husband and I were driving in my convertible bug with the top down. All of a sudden my favorite 80’s song came on the radio. My husband made and joke. “This song reminds me of you as a teenager. You were untouchable at 19.”

Immediately I had a flashback. I was cruising around town, windows down and radio blaring. I really thought I was untouchable. My motto: my way or the highway. It’s embarrassing to admit but I was one selfish chick.

As my stomach started to sink and those familiar feelings of shame and condemnation tried to creep in, I had an epiphany!

God is REAL!

Why?

Because there is no way on God’s green earth I would be the person I am today if it were not for His spirit fully alive in me. “the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness and self control.” Galatians 5:22-23

He took me from self-absorption to God-absorption.

Today, I can proudly say I am a daughter of the Most High King, pure and holy in His sight alone because of the blood Jesus Christ poured out for me…for all.
