I am always recommending “So Long, Insecurity: You’ve Been a Bad Friend to Us” by Beth Moore. I have read it and I am going to reread it again! It has helped me tremendously and I have recommended it to quite a few people.
That’s a good one Melani! It’s been years since I read it but would be great to read again!
My new favorite book is the Best Yes by Lysa TerKeurst. I have learned so much from reading and and now I am re-reading it to absorb even more and apply it to my life and my decision making. God Bless !!
That’s awesome Cate! You can never go wrong with any of Lysa TerKerust books 🙂
Love seeing your smiling face when I turn on the computer! 🙂 Right now, I am starting the newest Jan Karon book, “Somewhere Safe with Somebody Good”. I love to read and always enjoy finding out what other people are reading. 🙂
Melissa you always put a smile on my face!! I’ve not heard of that book. I will be checking it out 🙂 Sending you virtual ((hugs))
My all time FAVORITE book is “Meeting God at Every Turn” by Catherine Marshall. I have read it many times and it never fails to speak directly to me. All of Catherine Marshall’s books have mentored me over the years and I have grown in my faith greatly through her words.
I like the book “Your Life Still Counts”. Reflecting back on all the mistakes I’ve made in life and knowing there is no do-overs it’s nice to know that my life still counts and I am here for a purpose. It’s good to know that you pray for everyone that post on your blog. Love you, Sharon
A Confident Heart by Renee Swope, have Bible studied it and read it more than once. It was is so crucial with our walk with Christ, to help us to know who we are and whose we are and for that to be our acceptance and standard of measure, not what other people tell us we are .
I’ve always had a reading disability so it takes me awhile to get things read. I have several good books I’m reading. I’m trying to catch up and grow stronger with the Lord. Each one is touching a part of my life that needs nurturing with love or coming out of pain. 1. Forgiving our Fathers and Mothers, by Leslie Leyland Fields This is where the pain started and praying it will be where it ends. 2. I have two by Lysa TerKeurst, Made to Crave and The Best Yes, 3. Living so that by Wendy Blight, 4. Undaunted by Christine Caine It’s a powerful book and has opened my mind to a lot fears and insecurities. 5. A Confident Heart by Renee Swope and Your Life Still Counts by Tracie Miles are here to help restore me back to a productive Christian woman that can serve the Lord. When your totally damaged from a young age to where I’m at now it takes a lot of wisdom from these ladies. I may never meet them in person but I thank them for their help. Also, I thank you. I’m not the complete basket case that I was when I first read your blog. Thanks for letting me share. Love you, Sharon
