Do you go into “task mode” during your quiet time?
Do you consider reading scripture, devotionals or Christian books your personal connection with Jesus?
It’s important for us to also sit quietly with Jesus and soak in the presence of the Holy Spirit.
As a Christian Life Coach I continually redirect my clients to Jesus and their relationship with him. I believe our connection and intimacy with Jesus is the number one relationship in our lives.
Leave a comment below and let us know how you connect with Jesus on a personal level. You will automatically be entered to WIN a copy of the Jesus Calling Devotional by Sarah Young. {It’s a must have!}

I walk my dog every morning on the beach. We sit for about 30 minutes and that is the time that I talk with Jesus/God. I notice a difference in my day if I miss this special time.
I can totally relate to being task oriented. Part of that is just who I am. It’s difficult sometimes to just sit in silence, but I have found that my time in the shower (as strange as that may sound) is where I do the best job of this in the morning. Maybe it’s being removed from the distractions. But it’s one of my alone times where I am silent and wait for God’s voice and pray and give thanks for all he has done.
I love reading scripture & devotions but I find my drive in to work is often when I will turn the radio off and begin praying. I can be silent and listen for God’s voice. I enjoy our drive in together. 🙂
Sometimes I just look at nature, the sky or the lake, and feel Him there, without saying a thing. I also read scripture to see what He wants me to learn. I just open the bible where ever it opens and start reading. God Bless You Linda.
Listening to the audio book by Ruth Haley Barton called, “Invitation to Solitude and Silence: Experiencing God’s Transforming Presence” was a catalyst for me being able to “be still” with a purpose. Sometimes I felt like I was “wasting” time because I was not “doing” anything. Now, I realize that taking some moments to connect with MY CREATOR and allowing Him to “settle me” is the solid ground I can rest upon when life tries to whisk me into craziness.
