Is Your Life Crazy?

 3lion

It started almost exactly 12 months ago.

Out of nowhere a shocker I was in no way, shape or form prepared to hear.

Someone very close to me was hurting so deeply that it was too much for me to grasp.

Instead of offering compassion I got angry … very angry!

Fear and anxiety overtook me.

My mind raced with horrific thoughts. And the more I thought about this desperate situation the angrier I became.

I had no peace, no hope, just sheer panic.

Has this ever happened to you?

Sometimes when a loved one is in so much emotional pain it is too hard to sit with and just be present with them.

It’s uncomfortable.

It’s vulnerable.

It’s scary.

Instead of offering a hug or a listening ear we try to fix them or we might even push them away. It’s not right, but its just they way it happens because it is too painful for us to see them hurting.

The enemy will use anything to cause division, especially with those we love so much.

I’m writing this today to remind you and me that we must live on guard, ready for the next attack.

I’m not saying to live in fear of the unknown anxiously awaiting the next shoe to drop.

But I am saying we must put on our armor every single day. Ephesians 6:10-18

What does that look like for you?

Prayer … Reading the bible … Worship … Journaling … Listening to a sermon … Talking with a friend … Having a mentor or a life coach to keep you accountable?

How prepared are you for the next assault from the enemy?

What are you doing consistently so that you maintain a peaceful life so that when things go crazy you don’t?

I wish I could tell you that a year later everything is perfect and all better for my dear loved one, but that is not the case. However, I can say that through our greatest trials and deepest heartaches the Lord continues to provide.

Our God is good.

He is faithful.

And His mercies are new every single morning. Lam 3:22-23

  1. I most definitely have experienced attacks from the enemy. Those attacks seem to come at the most trying times, which makes things even worse. I wish I could say that I am always on alert, but, there are times when the enemy lays quietly, just waiting for an attack on me. I am so thankful to have God holding me and loving me. My strength comes from the Lord. My family and friends give me strength through their prayers and love and encouragement and nonjudgmental ways. I try to let family and close friends know when I need some help, because I truly believe in the power of prayer. I give God my insecurities and He listens. HIs timing is not always my timing for fixing a problem, but, I know He is doing what is best for me. Praise God.
