Prepared and ready to go … 6 mile run here I come!
Today I want to hear from you sweet friend. Tell me what you are feeling good about. No matter where you are in your goals, lets give ourselves a pat on the back and say something positive about ourselves.
Remember when we start to compare ourselves to others it robs us of our joy. So today let’s be intentional and say what we are doing right in our lives..
I’m so surprised by how great I felt on my longest run yet. It goes to show that properly fueling your body sets you up for success.

Thank you Linda for giving of yourself to us. I went through Christian and Marriage Life coaching courses but I tend to think I can’t help anyone because I have areas in my life that I struggle with, mainly food and you showed me its okay, you have struggles too. I really need to make time for self care and make plans for my day. I do it for everyone else and I am going to give myself grace. (this is really hard for me to do) So saying this I feel great about being a Christian and praying daily for my to be Jesus’s hands and feet. I am fueling my Spirit with his word, but my prayer life can be more than it is and my body, well this is where I need to surrender. Thank you for all you do Linda. You go girl.
Mary I agree it’s easier for me to give grace to others than it is to give grace to myself especially in the emotional eating but I am going to keep trying to render to use my strumbling blocks to become stepping stones …(this is a piece of a devotion He gave me when I was beating myself up over my emotional eating ) ..When was the last time you gave compassion and Grace to yourself forgiven myself when I fail and when I stumble learning to allow my stumbling blocks to become steppingstones
Restored to an original happy state psalm 126:1
Forgive your self or forgive someone and lay it at the feet of Jesus and let it go don’t let it hold you back any longer … Praying for you
Thank you Kelly, Your words mean more to me than you know and you really touched my heart and spirit with your words. Blessings to you!
Mary I love your awareness and honesty here. It’s so easy to do do do for others and not ourselves.
I’m happy to hear I’m not alone in needing to step up my prayer life 🙂 We got this girl! God is up to something special. Thank you also for your love & support here. It encourages me so much.
I feel good about listening to the Holy Spirt even when it’s hard to hear what He’s telling me .. Of the three I am fueling my mind and spirit but still need a lot of work on my body but I will continue on this journey I know I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength I just have to Believe …I am going. to trust God with the journey and allow my stumbling blocks to become stepping stones .
Matthew 19:26 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Thank you Linda for sharing your strengths and your struggles praying for you !
Kelly it is so challenging to keep a balance in all 3 areas. I believe we all tend to be stronger in certain areas and of course weak in others. I’m learning to lean into my weaknesses instead of resist and fight with them because I end up fighting the wrong enemy. Allowing ourselves to weak and fully rely on God gives us supernatural strength.
Thank you for being here and supporting me as well! It’s a win win for both of us friend. 🙂
1. Abiding in the Lord. I had a tough day yesterday as I was writing for a Bible study deadline, my first since being chosen by God and the ministry for this role. I was over thinking everything, so trapped in my thoughts and doubts I just couldn’t get anything out but I didn’t run away from God. I prayed, asked for prayer and had Worship music playing nonstop and eventually I realized what was holding me back and squashed those lies and wrote a great first draft!
2. Because of my terminal lung condition I am blessed with lots of TIME. I am able to spend all day with the Lord most days. I wake up with the Lord and spend at least an hour with Him reading the word and then additional time in specific prayer. During meals I do watch TV but then am right back with the Lord spending time in fellowship, prayer and pretty much always have Praise and Worship music playing and then I fall asleep to His word being read over me thanks to the YouVersion Bible APP. This is THE only reason I am able to praise Him when I am too sick to leave the house and serve Him and see how He provides even though I am not able to work.
I so hope you will take this the way I intend it but I love seeing and hearing you struggle! Way to go girl! Keep on Keeping on! Love you! You are Worthy. I am Worthy. WE are Worthy!
You are amazing Melissa!!! I love your passion for the Lord 🙂 And I love that you enjoy seeing my struggles too. Hearing that encourages me to keep it real girl. I tend to struggle a lot in my life but also tend to have lots of victory as well. I wrote in my book I’m learning that life is a beautiful struggle. It just is. When we stop hating the struggle and accept it for what it is (an opportunity to rely on God) oh how much joy is found!!!!
Thank you for encouraging me!! xoxo
Linda,
Thanks for sharing your struggles / successes with each of us. It makes it real. Knowing that everyone has their own struggles in life also helps to be able to forgive ourselves a little bit more.
As for my goals and challenges. This coming Sunday I’m walking a half marathon with my dad and two friends. We’ve all admitted we haven’t been training like we should, but we are all still going to achieve our goal of walking this half marathon.
Another goal that I’m working on is trying to grow my handmade craft business to the point where I can eliminate my full time position. For the past two years I’ve been participating in farmer’s markets and holiday shows all while working a full time job. This past weekend my neighbor, Alex, at the market I was exhibiting at had a gorgeous display of a variety of items that she makes. In talking with her, I learned that she quit her full time job earlier this year and just does her crafts. Besides markets she is also in several consignment shops and she lives 1.5 hours away from the market we were exhibiting in. She has inspired me to research local galleries (in my backyard) for consigning my items, in additions to my markets, Etsy and Facebook. I’ve had great success with asking several galleries / consignment shops, as four shops have interested in showcasing my items. I’m thrilled to know that the interests is there, I just had to ask. I believe God put Alex in my life on Sunday to show me that there is a way to being successful I just need to go out and get it.
1st Dawn congratulations on staying committed to walking the half marathon!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!
2nd I LOVE hearing how God brought Alex in your life to show you that your dreams can be your reality!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!! Please share here if you have an Etsy store or when you put one up! We’d love to shop 🙂
Thank you for continuing to encourage me to just be me!!! xoxo
I love your videos, Linda. Feels like we are right there with you. 🙂 Today, I am taking care of myself by eating properly and walking. I had a bone density scan yesterday and some areas are better and one is a little worse. But, overall, I had a good report. I am continuing to eat healthier food and am feeling better. 🙂 I am worthy! Love you!
I’m so thrilled to hear that overall you had a good report from your doctor!! And that your making progress in healthier habits and feeling better. Thank you Jesus!
I’m happy to hear that you feel like your right here with me in my videos…lol! Today I made another sweaty video and thought I wonder if they ever get tired of seeing me like this? But hey I just want this to be a place where we can hang out together so it’s all good 🙂 Love you!!!
I am here!!! Sorry I got a little behind. I am properly preparing for the right food I need throughout the day, I am doing that right. I am fueling my food of course with good food, I am fueling my mind by trying to be positive- reading self help books and I am fueling my spirit by reading my daily devotional. I am having a little trouble with getting more devotional time throughout the day so that is an area that needs most work.
