The Priority of Spending Time in Reverence

There is something that happens within our souls when we are intentional about meeting with the Lord, especially when we seek the Him in reverence. It’s as if the world stands still and time stops. It is holy ground. There is nothing more sacred.

It is easy to fall into the trap of going through the motions in our quiet time with reading, journaling, a little prayer and off to the day we run. But what happens when we truly seek our Father, the Creator of the universe in awe and wonder? What shifts when we walk into our time with Him in complete reverence, when we show God profound honor and respect by literally falling before Him on our face?  

Everything that is bottled up in our soul (mind, will, emotions) comes rushing out and often times in tears. We have no words, just complete adoration.

There is nothing greater in the entire universe than intimacy with God. I pray spending time in reverence of our most precious loving Savior will always remain top priority.

Is God Calling You

I’ll never forget the night I encountered God in the most radical undeniable way at the North Georgia Revival. I had no clue at that moment my life would never, I mean NEVER be the same. Today as I think back to meeting Jesus on the floor in the most tangible way I’m still in awe. Just remembering that night, I feel homesick for heaven. (Read my testimony in Igniting Revival Fire Every Day devotional)

That night as I stood to my feet after this life changing event I met Pastor Todd Smith for the first time. He looked at me and simply said, “Get into the Word. Read the Word.” As I walked away, I shook my head and thought that man knows nothing about me. I am in the Word. I do read the Word.

Well …

Looking back two years later I now fully understand what Pastor Todd was speaking into me that January evening. He was encouraging me to become a disciple, a student of God’s Word. At that point in my life, I did not realize the magnitude of being a student. I did not understand how freeing life would be once I learned what I’ve had all along.

I later discovered KINEO Ministry Training Center and became a student. I am currently in my second year. Now before I lose you, this program is for EVERY BELIEVER. This is not for leaders and pastors only; this program is YOU TOO!

Seeing Jesus

How do you see Jesus? When you close your eyes, how do you visualize our teacher, our Rabbi, our healer, our friend, our King, our deliverer, our Savior?

For as long as I can remember when I think about being in the presence of Jesus, I see us walking together outside and taking time to sit down for an intimate conversation. He’s in a soft white robe. He has a radiance about him. Often times he takes me in his arms and hugs me with an indescribable love. His smile speaks a thousand words. It’s contagious. His eyes sparkle with joy, compassion, gentleness, and excitement. It’s like I’m looking into a deep sea of love.

When I’m with Jesus I feel loved. He is proud of me. He is overjoyed with every detail about me. I am perfect when I’m with him. I don’t need to change anything about me. When I’m settled in this place with Jesus, I am the most confident. I don’t question my value, my worth, my abilities, my purpose, or my life.

In the presence of Jesus, I rest.

It’s vital in growing our relationship with Christ that we take time to intentionally connect with Him visually, that we see Him with the eyes of our heart. Ephesians 1:18 tells us, “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people”. This gives me unshakable confidence in myself and my identity when I see Him through the eyes of my heart.

I want to invite you today to set a timer for five minutes, close your eyes and spend time with Jesus. Be sure to have a journal nearby so you can write down anything you see or hear Him speaking to you. This is a great way to begin dialoging with God. And even if this is something that you’ve never done before or you think it’s not for you, I challenge you to go for it! You just might be surprised how Jesus shows up. He’s ready to meet with you friend. Enjoy building a deeper intimate relationship with Christ!

On January 12 this year I was sitting in this audience at a Women’s Conference listening to Pastor Karen Smith preach on strongholds of the mind. I had no idea that moments later my life would be completely radically transformed and I WOULD NEVER BE THE SAME! They Rejected Me

“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” Genesis 50:20

I’ll never forget the day I sat heartbroken, defeated, embarrassed, ashamed, and rejected. I could not believe what I was hearing. “Linda, you are not enough.” In a world I gave my entire heart to, I was then rejected.

I cried for weeks asking God why? Why did they do this to me? What did I do to deserve this?

As I walked away from the scene of what felt like hell that day, I remember wanting nothing more than to crawl in a hole and never come out. Everything I believed to be true appeared as a lie.

Would I ever be able to trust again?

The war raged in my mind, heart and soul.

Years later as I relive the above scene in my mind, I’m not going to lie to you, it still hurts. It still leaves me scratching my head and asking did that really happen?

Even though to this very day I wrestle at times with mixed emotions of betrayal I do have peace within my spirit.

You might wonder how do I have peace within after being hurt so badly?

Honestly, if it were not for such rejection and heartache, I would have never found a TRUE relationship with Jesus. It is because of the turmoil of rejection that threw me into the arms of my Savior. I would not trade the MIRACLE that happened during that season of devastation for everything I own.

You see at that point in my life I was struggling with God just being words on a page and a Sunday church service. I needed Him to become real to me. I could no longer just quote a scripture or listen to a sermon to get me filled up and be okay. I desperately needed a real life encounter with the Living God and that is what I got! (read Worthy of a Miracle, Chapter 12 for details)

After having a hands on, tangible real life encounter with the Living God, I’ve never been the same. Still to this very day I experience the Lord tangibly every single day of my life. He is no longer words on a page, I physically experience His presence living from within me and encounter the MIRACLE of God inside me.

Dear reader, I am here to tell you that no matter what nightmare you are facing God is ready to do a MIRACLE in your life. However, there is only one requirement of you. You must fully surrender; you must get desperate enough to fall into the arms of Jesus. He is waiting and ready to do far beyond anything you could ever ask or imagine.

PRAY: Heavenly Father, thank you for your presence. Thank you for your unconditional love and relentless pursuit of us to be in relationship with you. Thank you God that you take everything the enemy tries to use for harm in our lives and you turn it to good! You make miracles out of heartbreak. Thank you that we are never rejected by you but are always loved and accepted. Holy Spirit fill us to overflow. We lean in and press into you. We desire all of you. We desire signs, wonders and miracles in our lives right here, right now. Thank you Jesus. We love you and adore you. It is by your stripes Jesus we are healed, whole, worthy, and enough. It is in your name Jesus we pray. Amen.

I get on my knees and raise my hands to this song, My Hallelujah when I’m feeling rejected. Praise is how to fight every battle we face!

My Life Is Wrecked

Over the last two weeks my life has literally been wrecked. Wrecked in the best way I could ever dream. It was totally unexpected. I had no idea that I was on the tipping point of the most radical breakthrough of my life.

Tell me more, I can hear you saying as you are reading these words on your screen.

You see I’ve been in a pretty “good” place over the last year or so. My family, friends, health, and career have over all been going well. My relationship with God has been growing and I’ve been in a pretty “good” place. Something shifted towards the end of last year when the Lord spoke and asked me to follow Him closer and His plans for my life. I questioned it for a moment, but I decided that obedience to His voice is always the better path to take. No matter if it makes sense to me or not, it is ALWAYS better to follow Him.

Little by little the more I listened to His nudges and followed His promptings in my spirit, the more He blessed me. He blessed me by expanding my heart and making it more like His. He blessed me by touching others through my words of encouragement. He blessed me by using my hands to heal the sick. He blessed me by using my finances to grow His kingdom.

But that was just the beginning. I had no clue what was right around the corner, the radical blessings He was about to pour out on me. I was on the edge of glory and I had no idea! What did I do to deserve such goodness, such mercy, such love?

Dear reader, I don’t have enough words to explain the touch of Jesus Christ I experienced two weeks ago. It was real. It was tangible. It was audible. It was physical. It was emotional. It was spiritual. It was lavishing. It was breathtaking. It was personal. It was the intersection of heaven and earth colliding.

I am wrecked.

My every moment is consumed with His presence. I am new. I am different.

His voice is clearer than it has ever been. His touch is tangible. His presence is consuming.

I attended the North Georgia Revival and that is when the glory came. I continue to soak in God’s supernatural glory every day since. I don’t understand it. I simply keep pressing in, yielding to His Presence day by day, hour by hour.

I know this holy goodness is not just for me. It is for YOU reading this screen.

You might be asking how do I get this Linda? What do I need to do? The only thing I can tell you is GET IN HIS PRESENCE. Do whatever it takes to seek His glory. I do recommend attending the North Georgia Revival. I cannot recommend it enough!! This revival was and is the pivotal point for me. God’s Presence is heavily saturating that place. It’s beyond anything you can imagine. And if you cannot attend the revival, then get with other hungry followers of Jesus Christ and pray. There is power when two or more are gathered in His name. Matthew 18:20 His presence will come. Thirst for Him. Press in. Seek His glory. He is ready to release His miracles within you.

2 Minute Weekly Challenge

Last Tuesday I gave you a 2 minute challenge to set the timer and speak confessions aloud. It worked so well for so many that as your Christian life coach I want to challenge you to do it again with these new 25 I am confessions!

Many of us have different strongholds in our mind. Strongholds form when we believe a lie. We want to be intentional to breakdown all strongholds we have in our mind and replace them with 100% truth! As I type this right now, I am praying for every person that reads this to experience God’s tangible love as your read aloud every truth. Jesus Christ has all power and authority to heal and deliver you from every single lie that has been spoken against you.

Please do not rush this process. Absorb every truth you read slowly below. Grab your cell phone and set your timer for 2 minutes.

Ready?

Set …

Go!

I am God‘s beloved.

I am beautiful.

I am chosen.

I am holy.

I am set apart.

I am sanctified.

I am worthy.

I am the bride of Christ.

I am victorious.

I am loved.

I am adored.

I am enough.

I am goodness.

I am the temple of Christ.

I am goodness.

I am purified.

I am the mind of Christ.

I am valuable.

I am peace.

I am kindness.

I am joyful.

I am self-control.

I am faithful.

I am God’s truth.

I am all things new because Christ lives within me.

I’m still wrecked by what I experienced this weekend at the North Georgia Revival. I cannot recommend this revival enough. The old is gone and the new has come. I cannot explain the healing I received and the fire that burns in me to share the gospel. Already today the Lord used me to pray with a friend and she was set free!! Get to the revival and if you cannot get there then get in the Lord’s presence. Run to Him. He wants to touch you personally. He wants to free you from every wrong thought, fear, insecurity, illness, stronghold, etc. He is waiting for you! He loves you more than you could ever imagine. We want more and more of you Lord!!
