A significant part of my testimony is that I went to church for years and tried to do the “church thing” but deep down I was struggling because I honestly did not know how to connect with God. It is a really hard thing to admit, especially if you’re already attending church, reading the bible and even leading bible studies! For me personally I couldn’t take it any more and I turned away from it all. I stopped going to church, reading the bible and walked away from all religious organizations I was connected with.
It wasn’t until I hit rock bottom and finally cried to God in my car one day and begged him to become real to me that I truly began a real relationship with Him. And that my friend is the place to start to connect with God and have an intimate relationship with him. We must be desperate for him.
Scripture tells us to, “Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” (Psalm 37:4 & Psalm 37: 7) and for us to “Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him”
We need to simply be still and sit in the Lord’s presence, with no one else around, just you and him. No matter if it’s in your car, porch, living room, or closet, find that secret place to get away with him. I promise you dear friend that he will show up and you will begin a personal intimate relationship with him.

This week I’ve been listening to this on repeat. I love Kim Walker-Smith’s Throne Room.
I want to impart faith into you today. I am here living and breathing, alive and well to share that you my friend must have faith and believe the Lord! The reason I say that is because it was nine years ago that I was diagnosed with Stage 3 cancer, ended up in a coma on life support and given less than a 5% chance of survival. The doctor said it would take divine intervention to heal me. My friends, family and my amazing husband had faith to believe that our Lord was going to heal me. And that is exactly what God did. Not only did I come through the cancer and coma, they said I would not walk again or breathe again on my own and one year later I ran my very first half marathon with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Team In Training. Here I am before you today, as healthy as can be.
I want to share a scripture and prayer with you. One thing I know for certain is that the Lord hears our prayers and answers them. Jesus said in Matthew 17:20 “Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
Nothing ever is impossible with God. I want to encourage you and challenge you no matter what you are going through to have faith my friend. Have that child like faith. Even when you see what is in front of you and really have no idea how you are going to be healed or how a relationship will be mended. Choose to believe God and have faith that He will take care of it.
Heavenly Father I thank you for everyone watching this video. Thank you Jesus that we can ask and pray for anything in your name and that it will be done. Lord I pray for everyone here to have child like faith. I pray against the years of struggle, worry, fear, anxiety, and questioning Lord. I pray today is a new beginning and that they step out in your faith and they believe you, trust you and your word no matter what they see in front of them. Thank you Jesus. Thank you Lord. Thank you Holy Spirit. It’s in Jesus Christ name we pray. Amen. God bless you.

Have you ever struggled to really connect with God and it feels like He is nowhere to be found?
On those days when I feel so far away and disconnected from God I intentionally get on my knees, no matter if I feel like it or not. I get in a posture so that I can hear the Lord. I will get on my knees, put on worship music to listen and sing along and give thanks and praise with my mouth.
In Matthew 14:27-29 when Jesus walks on the water and he says to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. In order for us to really connect with Jesus, we must come. We must get out of the boat and go to him.
I want to encourage you today if it’s one of those times where you’re feeling a little discouraged or disconnected from the Lord, get in a posture to connect with him on your knees, seek the Lord, listen to worship and praise him with your mouth. I promise you that if you will take that step of obedience and have the courage to seek him you will connect with the Lord in a very special way.

Hi this is Linda Kuhar, your Christian Life Coach. I would like to share with you a few tools and resources I use to connect with God. The very first place I start every single day is in my chair with coffee in hand and complete quiet in my house. If I don’t have this time each day I end up being a very grumpy person 🙂
For years and years I have used my Jesus Calling Devotional by Sarah Young. I love love love this devotional. If you do not have it I recommend getting it today. Along with my NIV bible and my journal, writing is a great way to connect with the Lord. In the weeks to come I will share with you more journaling technics in how to connect with God. Also my book Worthy of a Miracle has journaling exercises in it as well. Listening to worship music is an amazing way to connect with the Lord. Listening to different pastors and speakers is another way to hear from and connect with the Lord. Being outside in nature is one of my very favorite ways to connect with God. And last but not least is through prayer, just a simple conversation with the Lord.

Have you ever struggled to connect intimately with God?
I know I have!
There have been seasons in my life where I questioned does God even exist?
Searching to find even an ounce of faith can leave you feeling empty, depressed, hopeless, and tad bit crazy.
The more I doubted God, the more condemned I felt. {Which was just the enemy’s tactic to shake my faith. Remember Romans 8:1; there is no condemnation in Christ!}
In my desperation to find God, I stumbled across a sermon from Andy Stanley at North Point Community Church online. Andy reminded me in his message how the disciples wrestled with doubts even while they were literally walking with Christ, the Messiah, the Son of God.
Can you imagine that?
With a big sigh of relief, I thanked God that what I’d been feeling all along was biblical, that even the disciples felt some of these same things.
Before I knew it, a glimmer of faith starting peaking through my soul once I learned that I was not alone in my doubts.
After many months of fighting for my faith, I immersed myself in the bible.
I began reading the Living Word of God out loud every morning.
I started talking to the Lord out loud, as if I was talking to one of my best friends.
While sharing with Him my daily highs and lows of life, my hopes and dreams for my family, and me I gradually began building an intimate relationship with God.
I wish I had time to tell you all of the hundreds of answered prayers and endless surprises He’s given me! It keeps me amazed and excited for what’s ahead each day.
He treats me like a princess.
It is priceless how connected and alive my spirit is to His.
This deep intimate connection with the Holy Spirit is why we are alive. The whole point to life is simply to worship the Lord with our entire being so that His glory will radiate through us.
I want to invite you to connect intimately with God today. I promise you, there is no greater love you will ever receive than His. As you watch this video, I pray that you experience His presence in a supernatural way.
