I literally start to cry every time I think about what happened at Adult & Teen Challenge in Colfax, Iowa on July 13, 2019.
Dear friend, no matter what you are doing right now in your life, please allow my testimony to give you hope that GOD HAS A PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE to do great works for His kingdom. Never in a million years would I have thought my family would get to be used by God to demonstrate miracles, signs and wonders through the power of the Holy Spirit in baptizing over 200 precious lives.

On January 12 this year I was sitting in this audience at a Women’s Conference listening to Pastor Karen Smith preach on strongholds of the mind. I had no idea that moments later my life would be completely radically transformed and I WOULD NEVER BE THE SAME! That I would be supernaturally touched by God’s tangible Presence and that would propel my life forward to operate in miracles, signs and wonders as my heart had always desired. My life radically changed when I started reading the bible out loud. As your Christian life coach I encourage you to start reading the word of God out loud often. There is a divine exchange that happens when you speak God’s words aloud, back to Him. Try reading the below scripture aloud today, Colossians 3:12-17.
12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. 14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
This scripture tells us our character. We are holy, we are the beloved, that we are merciful, we have kindness and humility. We are forgiving and more than anything it tells us we are love. Love is the bond of perfection. There is no way we would be perfect on our own, but through Christ in us, we are His perfect love.
Take time to speak this truth over your life today: I am holy. I am set apart because of you Lord. Thank you God that I am your beloved.

In this virtual world we live in today I’ve come to realize (personally!!) how desperate we are for real life conversation and connection. Recently I went through a season of feeling isolated and lonely. When working from home you can experience disconnection and even emptiness at times. One way to overcome anxiety and depression is to shift your focus. Joyce Meyer has said many times to “get yourself off your mind” and believe it or not, this actually can work! A few months ago when I was with my daughter and she was struggling with feeling a little anxious and a little blah, we came across a gentlemen in a wheelchair on the side of the road. His wheelchair was electric and needed to be charged. He was rolling back into traffic and was going to get hit. My daughter stopped her car and I jumped out to help him up the hill. Long story short, we helped him and gave him money to treat himself because he was having a challenging day. To my surprise my daughter’s mood shifted and all her anxiety and blahs had disappeared.
James 2:14-17 says, “What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”
When we use faith and action together we can move forward. We pray in faith for the Lord to remove our depression and anxiety, and God’s word encourages us in our faith to accompany it with action. What better way to activate our faith than by getting out there and helping another. Is there someone you can help today? Take notice how you feel afterwards. You will be amazed at how much lighter your mood will be.

Many people go to church and do the “Christian thing” but might not have fully surrendered their life over to Jesus Christ. Romans 10:9 says if you declare with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you will be saved. To be honest with you years ago I would speak that but I didn’t believe it in my heart. That was my struggle. I would like to pray for anyone watching this video that is struggling to believe. Lord please help them to believe.
I promise you don’t have to have it all figured out or really understand it all but if you profess with your mouth today that I believe Jesus is Lord and God raised him from the dead to save my life, you will be saved. You will not only have joy here, but you will have life in eternity. That’s what its all about! Having life now and living it to the fullest and living forever in eternity with everyone you love and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
I hope you will take me up on this invitation and join me along this journey. I know sometimes that it can feel scary and you might think moving forward that you have to do everything perfectly, but that is not the case, that is why we have Jesus. We are going to do things imperfect every single day. It’s not about you being perfect anymore but allowing Jesus Christ to be perfect in and through you. You might wonder how to read the bible or where to start reading in the bible. There are a few places I encourage you to start. The book of John is a great place because it shares more about Jesus as a person and what he did so it helps you connect with the fact that he understands all that you are going through. The book of Romans shares the gospel of Jesus or the teachings of Jesus’ life. If you are struggling with stress, anxiety or fears I recommend the book of Psalms. And last but not least Proverbs is an excellent book to read for wisdom or guidance for your every day life.

I receive this gift today. I receive this life, my body, my mind, my health. Thank you Lord. Thank you for the millions of blessings around me every day. Give me eyes to see your gifts and ears to hear your ways. Lord help me not to take for granted this life. Help me to just live today, soak it all up and truly love all of it. Lord there is nothing to fear because eternity awaits. Help me be the messenger of your love to a hurting world. Let that always be my focus. Forgive my selfish ways. Give me images of heaven to focus on and live for. Fill my mind and spirit with all your peace, love and joy. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
