2 Minute Weekly Challenge

“I recommend that you not only purposely think right thoughts, but that you go the extra mile and speak them aloud as your confession.” Joyce Meyer, Battlefield of the Mind

Last Tuesday I gave you a 2 minute challenge to set the timer and speak confessions aloud. It worked so well for so many that as your Christian life coach I want to challenge you to do it again with these new 25 I am confessions!

Many of us have different strongholds in our mind. Strongholds form when we believe a lie. We want to be intentional to breakdown all strongholds we have in our mind and replace them with 100% truth! As I type this right now, I am praying for every person that reads this to experience God’s tangible love as your read aloud every truth. Jesus Christ has all power and authority to heal and deliver you from every single lie that has been spoken against you.

Please do not rush this process. Absorb every truth you read slowly below. Grab your cell phone and set your timer for 2 minutes.

I’m still wrecked by what I experienced this weekend at the North Georgia Revival. I cannot recommend this revival enough. The old is gone and the new has come. I cannot explain the healing I received and the fire that burns in me to share the gospel. Already today the Lord used me to pray with a friend and she was set free!! Get to the revival and if you cannot get there then get in the Lord’s presence. Run to Him. He wants to touch you personally. He wants to free you from every wrong thought, fear, insecurity, illness, stronghold, etc. He is waiting for you! He loves you more than you could ever imagine. We want more and more of you Lord!!

Take My 2 Minute Challenge

“You cannot have a positive life and a negative mind.” – Joyce Meyer, Battlefield of the Mind

As your life coach I want to challenge you from time to time to get outside of your comfort zone and try new things. I love the quote above from Joyce Meyer. Isn’t it so true? We are what we think. When we agree with who God says we are, we live full of confidence, full of life, full of joy, full of peace, full of victory. We live from a place of overflow! But boy oh boy, when we agree with anything less than who God says we are life is a mess. We feel defeated, depressed, insecure, fearful, lonely, less than … we feel just an absolute mess! So my friend I want to set you up for success to live a positive life by encouraging you to take my 2 minute challenge.

Will you join me today in this 2 minute challenge to renew your mind?

It’s very simple. Grab your cell phone and set your timer for 2 minutes and then read out loud the below text. (Read slow enough to fully absorb these truths.)

Set …

Overcome Anxiety & Depression

One way to overcome anxiety and depression is to shift your focus. Joyce Meyer has said many times to “get yourself off your mind” and believe it or not, this actually can work! A few months ago when I was with my daughter and she was struggling with feeling a little anxious and a little blah, we came across a gentlemen in a wheelchair on the side of the road. His wheelchair was electric and needed to be charged. He was rolling back into traffic and was going to get hit. My daughter stopped her car and I jumped out to help him up the hill. Long story short, we helped him and gave him money to treat himself because he was having a challenging day. To my surprise my daughter’s mood shifted and all her anxiety and blahs had disappeared.

James 2:14-17 says, “What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

When we use faith and action together we can move forward. We pray in faith for the Lord to remove our depression and anxiety, and God’s word encourages us in our faith to accompany it with action. What better way to activate our faith than by getting out there and helping another. Is there someone you can help today? Take notice how you feel afterwards. You will be amazed at how much lighter your mood will be.

What is Christian Meditation?

As a Christian I think it is very important that we understand what Christian meditation is about.

A lot of times in different religions or different types of practices they talk about meditating, meaning to completely empty your mind where there is nothing there just stillness. I want to share with you as a Christian that is a very dangerous place to be because if nothing is in there the enemy can come in a fill that space. He can sneak in and fill up your mind with other things that are not of God.

God’s word says in Joshua 1:7-8 “Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”

We must be very careful that we are putting the right things in our thoughts so that we don’t let anything come in and deceive us. The bottom line is that we have a rule book for life which is the Bible. The Bible is the one true guideline for life. When we put God’s word in our mind we can walk out and obey and know what is good or evil, right from wrong. I would love to hear from you and know your personal experience with meditation. Hearing God

Our minds are a very powerful tool. It is critical to discern the difference between the voices we are hearing in our mind. Is it our voice, God’s voice, or the enemy’s voice we are listening to? In Romans 12:2 it says to be transformed by the renewing of your mind, then you will know God’s good and perfect will for your life. So how do we do that? The first thing the we must do is to take note of what you are putting into your mind. What are you listening to, looking at and reading? What are you letting into your mind? It is important to intentionally put the good things into your mind, to put God’s voice into your mind.

So what is God’s voice? We know in black and white that it is His word, the bible. And that is why it is so important to read the bible every single day. It doesn’t matter how much you read, you can simply meditate on just one verse. What do I mean by mediating? Mediating means to read it, to speak it, to sit and think on it over and over.

The verse I’ve been meditating on recently is Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him and he will make your paths straight.” So what I do is take that verse and rewrite it, I read it, I speak it, I put it on my phone wallpaper, I share it all over social media … I make sure that it is everywhere so that it is at the front of my mind. In the weeks ahead I will share more with you about reseting your mindset. One book that I recommend everyone to read is Joyce Meyer’s The Battlefield of the Mind.

Please email me at linda@lindakuhar.com or comment below and let me know any questions you might have on hearing God’s voice. I’d love to hear from you! CLICK HERE to subscribe to my blog for future inspiration and exciting giveaways and receive Chapter 1 of my book Worthy of a Miracle.

What clients are saying about working with Linda Kuhar …

“I am beyond thankful that God led me to find Linda. I considered myself a Christian before and I had salvation, but definitely no joy or victory. I really was hoping she would just tell me what I needed to do and not suggest I pray or read because I felt like I couldn’t hear his voice or understand. Thankfully she did have me do those things that I didn’t really want to do. At first I followed her suggestions because I knew she was going to hold me accountable and because I really wanted change. Over the weeks things began to shift. Things are so different now and weights have been lifted! I can say that I do hear the Lord’s voice and am so in love with Him. This would not have happened without Linda’s support and guidance. She makes it so easy to open up and be vulnerable and honest. I am thankful for her willingness to be used as a vessel. If you are feeling like you need a change I highly recommend Linda!!” Melissa P., VA

“I was led to reach out to Linda after I stumbled across her website. She has been one of the kindest, most warm hearted Christian women I have ever spoken to. She helped me through some tough times in my marriage and I know with her guidance, and of course, God’s loving grace, I am on the path to a stronger bond with my husband. I would recommend her to anyone!” Christianne M., PA

Is Your Life Crazy?

 3lion

It started almost exactly 12 months ago.

Out of nowhere a shocker I was in no way, shape or form prepared to hear.

Someone very close to me was hurting so deeply that it was too much for me to grasp.

Instead of offering compassion I got angry … very angry!

Fear and anxiety overtook me.

My mind raced with horrific thoughts. And the more I thought about this desperate situation the angrier I became.

I had no peace, no hope, just sheer panic.

Has this ever happened to you?

Sometimes when a loved one is in so much emotional pain it is too hard to sit with and just be present with them.

It’s uncomfortable.

It’s vulnerable.

It’s scary.

Instead of offering a hug or a listening ear we try to fix them or we might even push them away. It’s not right, but its just they way it happens because it is too painful for us to see them hurting.

The enemy will use anything to cause division, especially with those we love so much.

I’m writing this today to remind you and me that we must live on guard, ready for the next attack.

I’m not saying to live in fear of the unknown anxiously awaiting the next shoe to drop.

But I am saying we must put on our armor every single day. Ephesians 6:10-18

What does that look like for you?

Prayer … Reading the bible … Worship … Journaling … Listening to a sermon … Talking with a friend … Having a mentor or a life coach to keep you accountable?

How prepared are you for the next assault from the enemy?

What are you doing consistently so that you maintain a peaceful life so that when things go crazy you don’t?

I wish I could tell you that a year later everything is perfect and all better for my dear loved one, but that is not the case. However, I can say that through our greatest trials and deepest heartaches the Lord continues to provide.

Our God is good.

He is faithful.

And His mercies are new every single morning. Lam 3:22-23

Let me know in the comments if you’ve experienced attacks from the enemy and how you plan to stay prepared.
I woke up this morning and pinched

Are You at Peace With Yourself?

I was listening to Joyce Meyer the other day and as always she spoke brilliantly into my life. She said,

mtnpeace

I don’t know about you, but I could list a dozen things I do not like about myself.

Isn’t that sad?

The one thing I’ve wrestled with most of my life or should I say “the thorn in my flesh” is my critical spirit towards myself.

The one thing I love to do more than anything in the world is to build others up with encouraging and motivating words, but so many times I tend to tear myself apart.

I am ready to make peace with those critical thoughts, but how?

Last weekend my Pastor said to treat our thoughts like a prisoner of war. Interrogate them. Immediately when a thought pops in our mind ask it, “Where did you come from?” and “Who sent you?” And if it does not align with God’s truth then take it captive. Do not let those negative thoughts lead you. You are supposed to lead them.

It’s time to stop being intimidated, fearful, ashamed, condemned by what you don’t like about yourself, instead make peace with it. You might need to get a little creative but remember you already have a spirit of self-control that lives inside of you. It’s waiting to be activated.

Join me today and begin to take hold of those thoughts. Leave a comment below and let me know what you are making peace with.

Miss Cranky Pants

misscrankypants.jpg

As I sat on my porch listening to the birds chirping I was savoring God and His creation. I spent a good bit of time talking with Him, praying and reading the bible.

Leaving my quiet time I felt motivated.  A sense of peace lingered within knowing that God would order my steps for the day.

As I began working, everything seemed to be running smoothly. It appeared to be a typical work day.

And out of nowhere, the next thing you know, I became Miss Cranky Pants!

I started feeling grumpy, irritable and anxious for NO REASON at all!

Has this ever happened to you? (I hope so; otherwise you’re probably thinking I’m a little crazy!)

I couldn’t figure out what in the heck was wrong with me.

Was I hormonal? I don’t know.

Was I tired? Maybe.

Mad at my husband? A little.

But was that enough to warrant my day going from spirit filled to grumpy and down right dreadful?

As I shuffled around my office, I could tell I was getting crankier by the minute. My first thought was this is going to be a rotten day.  Which led to poor pitiful me, why does everything have to be a struggle, to….I’m actually too embarrassed to tell you everything I was thinking, but you get the point.

After about half an hour of this mental anguish, I stopped dead in my tracks.

Something deep inside of me stirred and immediately I made a U-turn in my day.

I made an intentional decision to go back to where I started my day, seeking God.

Quickly I grabbed my cell phone, put on a Joyce Meyer podcast and before I knew it, I was back on track! I was excited about my day and experiencing God’s peace once again.

Isn’t it strange how are moods and thoughts can fluctuate within minutes? How it only take one negative thought to derail us.

I open up my thought life in hopes that you will feel encouraged knowing that you are not alone in the Battlefield of the Mind. When you go from life is great to feeling miserable within minutes, it doesn’t mean you are crazy!

What it means is that the enemy will do anything to throw you off course. It is up to you how your day will go and what you will allow your mind to think on.

What will you do the next time you find yourself becoming Miss Cranky Pants? Will you allow the enemy to stay in your mind or will you kick him out? I love hearing from you, leave a comment below.

I currently have a waiting list, however I will have appointments opening up in mid May. I want to encourage you that there is hope and a new way of life through Christian Life Coaching. ((hugs))

Next Tuesday I will be hanging out over at God-sized Dreams and giving away 2 Coaching Sessions. Be sure to check out this amazing blog community!
