Seeing Jesus

How do you see Jesus? When you close your eyes, how do you visualize our teacher, our Rabbi, our healer, our friend, our King, our deliverer, our Savior?

For as long as I can remember when I think about being in the presence of Jesus, I see us walking together outside and taking time to sit down for an intimate conversation. He’s in a soft white robe. He has a radiance about him. Often times he takes me in his arms and hugs me with an indescribable love. His smile speaks a thousand words. It’s contagious. His eyes sparkle with joy, compassion, gentleness, and excitement. It’s like I’m looking into a deep sea of love.

When I’m with Jesus I feel loved. He is proud of me. He is overjoyed with every detail about me. I am perfect when I’m with him. I don’t need to change anything about me. When I’m settled in this place with Jesus, I am the most confident. I don’t question my value, my worth, my abilities, my purpose, or my life.

In the presence of Jesus, I rest.

It’s vital in growing our relationship with Christ that we take time to intentionally connect with Him visually, that we see Him with the eyes of our heart. Ephesians 1:18 tells us, “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people”. This gives me unshakable confidence in myself and my identity when I see Him through the eyes of my heart.

I want to invite you today to set a timer for five minutes, close your eyes and spend time with Jesus. Be sure to have a journal nearby so you can write down anything you see or hear Him speaking to you. This is a great way to begin dialoging with God. And even if this is something that you’ve never done before or you think it’s not for you, I challenge you to go for it! You just might be surprised how Jesus shows up. He’s ready to meet with you friend. Enjoy building a deeper intimate relationship with Christ!

Hi this is Linda Kuhar, your Christian Life Coach. I would like to share with you a few tools and resources I use to connect with God. The very first place I start every single day is in my chair with coffee in hand and complete quiet in my house. If I don’t have this time each day I end up being a very grumpy person 🙂

For years and years I have used my Jesus Calling Devotional by Sarah Young. I love love love this devotional. If you do not have it I recommend getting it today. Along with my NIV bible and my journal, writing is a great way to connect with the Lord. In the weeks to come I will share with you more journaling technics in how to connect with God. Also my book Worthy of a Miracle has journaling exercises in it as well. Listening to worship music is an amazing way to connect with the Lord. Listening to different pastors and speakers is another way to hear from and connect with the Lord. Being outside in nature is one of my very favorite ways to connect with God. And last but not least is through prayer, just a simple conversation with the Lord.

So Much To Share! Retreats, Healthy Lifestyle Coaching & Love

Over the last year I took time to simply relax and receive. I realized through this restorative season in my life I accomplished so much more with much less striving. There’s something supernatural that happens when we earnestly seek the Lord with our whole heart, it opens up the door to fully rest and embrace our life. Through my incredible discoveries in 2016 I’m excited to share this freedom with you and how to accomplish it!

This year on my blog I will be diving deeper into prayer, spiritual, physical & emotional health along with my favorite Healthy Lifestyle shortcuts which include food, exercise & organization. My one word this year is CONSISTENCY. I’ve learned when I filter the day through the goal of consistency, life runs so much smoother, and I truly feel at peace. I achieve more than I ever dreamed possible and so can you.
